American crime writer Joseph Hansen (1923-2004) wrote many gay-themed novels, many of which appear at Mobilism. His earlier, erotic "pulp fiction" was written under the pseudonym James Colton. His James Colton novels are very rare, but a scanned version of "The Outward Side" (1971) can be read at Internet Archive.

I have written to The Open Library [https://openlibrary.org/] to ask if they can make more scans for novels by James Colton available to read through Internet Archive. They responded by saying 'We try to consider highly requested books when making decisions about which books to digitize.'

If you are interested in more scans of James Colton's novels, you can login to Open Library (free to create and operate an account), search for the following titles by James Colton, and adding the book(s) to your “Want To Read” list:

· Strange Marriage (1965) (Argyle) (1966) (Paperback Library)
· The Corrupter and other stories (1968) (Greenleaf)
· Gard (1969) (Award Books)
· Todd (1995) (Hard Candy, Masquerade Books)
· Known Homosexual (1968)
· Hang-up (1969)
· Lost on Twilight Road (1966)
· Cocksure (1969)

You could help make this happen by adding these books to your own “Want To Read” list at https://openlibrary.org/

Thanks.
