THX to LaDidi for the trick!!!!!

thank you.. it works now

Hi:
Where exactly did you put pic? I tried putting in: %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\SOTI
and I also tried: %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\SOTI\skins

Neither seemed to work. When I went in to view, it still asked me to select skin, and none were listed, and still took me to the download page, with the expired registration statement.

Thanks!

Hi:
This link (http://anonym.to/?http://www.soti.net/skins/skins.html) doesn't seem to work for me, it just takes me to an all black screen.
By any chance does anyone have a working link, or know where I can find the link for the AT&T Tilt?

Thanks so much!

@cincy1020:
If you have a black screen, it means that you have something !
Try to edit the web page and you'll see... or download the web page.
And, please, ALWAYS read all the posts (cf. #73).
Regards.

If you really have read post #73, you found :
Code: Select all[Skins]
...
AT&T=ATT-TILT_Vertical, ATT-TILT_Horizontal
...
[Settings]
...
ATT-TILT_Vertical-DeviceName=TILT
...

so you need : http://anonym.to/?http://www.soti.net/s ... eName=TILT
... and maybe it's time to donate :D !

Hi:
1. First let me say thank you for your help.
2. I ALWAYS read all relevant posts before asking a question. I read every post in this thread, and tried many combinations, but did not have any luck. Never did it suggest in any post that I should try adding a dash between ATT and Tilt, since the HTC one read as follows: http://www.soti.net/skins/skin.aspx?SkinId=HTCTyTN_Vertical&Manufacturer=HTC&DeviceName=TyTN
It truly did not ever occur to me, that adding an additional dash would be correct.
3. I will donate warez to you shortly. If only I were as intelligent as you, I would not have to ask others annoying questions :(

PS: I did read the post of where to put the file, however I was unsuccessful. I have tried placing in %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\SOTI
as well as %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\SOTI\Skins
Any suggestions?

PPS: The only code I saw in post #73 was:
[Skins]
...
HTC=HTC_AdvantageX7500, HTCBlueAngel, HTC_Cavalier, HTCFaraday, HTCLobster, HTCMTeoR, HTCP3300, HTC_P3400, HTCP3600, HTCP3600-White, HTC_P4000_Vertical, HTC_P4000_Horizontal, HTCP4300, HTCP4350, HTC_P6300, HTCS310, HTCS620, HTCS710_VOX_Vertical,HTCS710_VOX_Horizontal, HTCS720_Vertical, HTCS720_Horizontal, HTCTanager, HTCTitan, HTCTouch, HTCTyTN_Vertical, HTCTyTN_Horizontal, HTCTyTN-II_Vertical, HTCTyTN-II_Horizontal, HTCWizard_Vertical, HTCWizard_Horizontal, HTC_Z_Vertical, HTC_Z_Horizontal
...
[Settings]
...
HTCTyTN_Vertical-Name=TyTN
HTCTyTN_Vertical-DeviceName=TyTN

@cincy1020:
1. What I say in post #73 is an example for a HTCTyTN_Vertical.
[Skins]
...
HTC=..., HTCTyTN_Vertical, ...
...
[Settings]
...
HTCTyTN_Vertical-DeviceName=TyTN
...
in Red, you have the parameters for the final web request...
2. It's SOTI who named your AT&T model (ie "ATT-TILT_Vertical") so ask them why they put a '-' :shock:
3. You need to put the web page entirely in the named folder (cf. post #73)

Regards.

Well, I did not have luck getting skins to work. I copied skin files to %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\SOTI
as well as %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\SOTI\Skins
Neither worked. When I go to select skin, there is still none listed, and it takes me to download section.

I can see by LaDidi's tone, that he is annoyed by my ignorant questions, so if there happens to be anyone else out there who has a suggestions, that would be great.

Thanks so much!

@cincy1020:
In fact, it's me who is annoyed that you can't use it.
I will try to explain again :
1. download http://anonym.to/?http://www.soti.net/skins/skins.html
2. rename skins.html to skins.ini
3. copy skins.ini to %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\SOTI\Skins\. The directory must exist OR you aren't at the good place !
4. Launch IE with http://anonym.to/?http://www.soti.net/s ... eName=TILT
5. use "Save as" in IE to save all web page in %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\SOTI\Skins\
Note : IE generate "Skins_fichiers" directory under %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\SOTI\Skins\
6. So you must copy %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\SOTI\Skins\Skins_fichiers to %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\SOTI\Skins\

In fact, you only need :
http://anonym.to/?http://www.soti.net/skins/ATT-TILT_Vertical.png
http://anonym.to/?http://www.soti.net/skins/ATT-TILT_Horizontal.png

Do not ask me why it's .png and not .bmp... It's a SOTI choice :shock:

Hi LaDidi:
It's working now :)

Thank you very much for your patience, and help.

PS:
I discovered a LARGE part of my problem was that I use Firefox instead of IE, and the download pages do not show up or save properly when you use Firefox. After going in, and doing it with IE, it worked perfectly.

Always check with the original (IE) and after check with alternate (FireFox)...
